Horizonti is a microfinance institution established in 2000 in Northern Macedonia, dedicated to providing sustainable and responsible financing to micro and small businesses, as well as low-income and financially excluded populations. With a strong focus on empowering women—who make up 88% of its clients—and supporting ethnic minority communities, especially in rural areas, Horizonti plays a vital role in fostering economic inclusion. The institution currently manages 3,896 active loans, each averaging EUR 3,000, for a total portfolio of EUR 11.7 million. As one of only three microfinance institutions in the country offering affordable interest rates, Horizonti stands out as a key player in making finance accessible to underserved communities.
