Since 2008 TISE is the leading Polish finance provider for the social enterprises and NGOs. TISE granted 10,000+ loans totaling over PLN 1.6bn (~ EUR 375 m) out of which 25% to the social economy sector, the rest to micro- and small enterprises. After a strong development, an important slow-down was noted in 2023-24 due to the decision of Crédit Coopératif to withdraw from international and the ongoing process of selling TISE to the new shareholder. The latter, the cooperative Bank of Poznań wants to strengthen the presence of TISE on its traditional markets (social economy and micro-enterprises). Most of the risk-sharing programs distributed by TISE in the last years are dedicated to projects related to financing social economy, strengthening SMEs, promoting entrepreneurship, jobs creating/sustaining and green transition. The loan from ImpaktEU would enable TISE to develop both the risk-sharing programs and lending from its own funds *at the date of the investment
